\"\"<\/a>(iv) Instant mashed potatoes<\/p>\n

Scatter some mashed potatoes at suspected areas of rat activity.\u00a0 The rats and mice will feed on the potatoes and the flakes of which will expand in their stomach and eventually kill them before they were able to fully digest the ingredient.\u00a0\u00a0For safety reason,\u00a0keep the flakes out of the reach of your pet(s).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>(v) Onions<\/p>\n

The smell of onions can be used to repel rats and mice.\u00a0 Place them\u00a0in areas where the rats and mice frequent.\u00a0 Word of caution:\u00a0 Keep the onions out of the reach of dogs and cats as these are poisonous to them.\u00a0 If you\u00a0use this method\u00a0to deter rats and mice, you’ll have to replace the\u00a0onions regularly (say, every day) because onions rot easily.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>(vi) Plaster of Paris and cocoa powder<\/p>\n
