The Pest : Birds
It is difficult for some people to think of birds as pests as many birds are considered friends to mankind. But when birds congregate on buildings, they become a nuisance that can ultimately lead to lost business, contaminated products as well as expensive damage to roofs and other structures. Some bird species harbour disease organisms that can be transmitted to humans.

Threat : Their droppings are not only unsightly; it gives rise to unsanitary conditions and corrode building finishes. Bird droppings can also transmit over 60 types of diseases, such as Encephalitis and Salmonellosis food poisoning. The extremely high uric content in bird droppings can destroy stocks, machineries and painted surfaces, resulting in massive wastage and monetary losses.
